Karthikeyan hits track as HRT unveils 2012 Car

India's Narain Karthikeyan finally got behind the wheels of a Formula One car 13 days before the season's first race as HRT unveiled their new car at the Circuit de Catalunya. The Spanish team, which failed to get its car ready in time for the last day of the final pre-season testing Sunday, were able to showcase the F112 Monday. HRT also became the last of 12 teams to uncover their 2012 challenger.
Besides Karthikeyan, teammate Pedro de la Rosa and reserve driver Dani Clos, attended the team's promotional event.
Karthikeyan, who was driving after the Indian Grand Prix in October, completed 10 laps in the car running on demo tyres. 

"Just finished my debrief and stuff. The shakedown was good. No major issues from that point it was quiet impressive out of the box. We did not do any performance running so can't say how fast it was," Karthikeyan told Indo Asian News Service.
HRT made the most of filming day regulations after missing all three pre-season tests. As part of the filming process, a team is allowed to the run the car on demo tyres for a maximum of 100 km.
The first race is at Melbourne's Albert Park March 18.
